I have had more compliments and copy-cat (neat) makeovers by friends and acquaintances that I know it works. from that angle, my accents seem completely different than from the first impression when you enter the main door, where I have a large glass table with chairs padded in orange, which is opposite of blue on the color wheel. On the wall NOT seen when you enter, I painted a bold red (with a blue undertone). I painted a 'great room" a deep confererate blue with a pale blue ceiling, since west afternoon sun made the ceiling too bright, It is in an 'L' shape, with the short of the 'L' facing away and to the right of the door.

What about a cool blue or a rich rust color.but DON'T put it on your the wall you chose: Put it on the OPPOSITE wall! A new design trick/hint I've used is to accent the wall NOT first seen with the brighter or deeper color and the result is both unexpected and refreshing PLUS it opens up a whole new palette to your home. One of your suggestions will light up my vision. The beauty is in making a space look collected over time not a paint by number one size fits all. There is nothing unique or interesting about matching up every accesssory to each other. Thanks, but that is not what I am trying to do at the moment. Even some have tried to redecorate the whole space. Now people have tried to steer me more to traditional, even retro & I don't think that is where I want to be. I've seen that used in tradtional to contemporary kitchens. I started out believing I wanted a seamless mini mosaic that would keep in line with my TRANSITIONAL intentions. Suggestions in this post have been good even if I don't agree with some. I am not under a time restraint but I would like to finish & my husband has had enough of it. Some people become frantic in these posts & I see why especially when they are not comfortable with color, texture, pattern & style. I can do beautiful if money is not a consideration but when you combine budget with functionality & ease of care the decisions can be daunting.

Perhaps frequency makes the job easier but then they are not living with the results. I salute all the designers who have to make these kind of decisions daily. I guess it is because you are investing a lot of money in something not easily replaced.

I don't think I have ever faced a more difficult decision than these hard surfaces in my kitchen. From time to time I have helped others as well. I have always loved to decorate & have been told my home is a warm & welcoming place. That might make the overall look more interesting without jumping out & shouting at you. The salesman/designer at the tile shop suggested a row of the 4"squares, then a trim line & the balance of the area on point. The on point diamond shape has a little more interest to it. After I have looked at them at home for a while I am feeling that the 3圆 brick is going to look blah over the space I need to cover especially once the grout is applied. In the store we tried them with a Misty Gray & a Standard White grout. They have almost a white washed look to them. These new tiles I brought home are Claros Silver Tumbled Travertine. Toxic Friend Influence: Huey opposes Riley's friendship with Ed and Rummy because they're criminals, and Riley likes them for that reason.I wish my photos came out looking more like what I actually see.Special Guest: Charlie Murphy as Ed Wuncler III, and Samuel L.Small Name, Big Ego: Rummy believes they get away with their crimes because he's a criminal mastermind, dismissing the facts that Wuncler's grandfather owns the police and all their crimes are failures due to general incompetence.Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: It's outright stated that Ed and Rummy get away with their crimes, only because Ed's grandfather owns the police.A cop even visits Ed III to return something he left behind from the bank robbery. Police Are Useless: Because they're on the Wunclers' payroll. They returned him only 15 minutes later, because he was just that annoying. Pity the Kidnapper: After failing to kidnap Oprah, Ed and Rummy decide to kidnap Bill Cosby instead. This may be saying more about Rummy than her, admittedly. Never Mess with Granny: Despite being a 78-year-old woman, blindfolded, and Bound and Gagged, Maya Angelou actually manages to seriously threaten Rummy.
